I can only describe Mulan as a visually spectacular disappointment. Void of any emotional resonance, the film eschews coherent storytelling for what amounts to an Orientalist war epic masquerading as a feminist win for Asians everywhere.

piere d Why even make a movie called Mulan if it looks nothing like the original. No Mushu, no like a man song because oh no it is about a man. That was what the original story was about, acting like a man to fight the war for her dad. Now the movie just does not make sense, just like the excistense of Disney.
